Job Summary

Kevala is looking for a data scientist to help us accelerate a clean energy future by making energy-related data meaningful, transparent and broadly accessible. This role is focused on building the Grid Assessor data platform and will be based out of our San Francisco, CA headquarters. This position reports to the Director of Engineering.

Responsibilities and Duties

The successful candidate will be part of a team that regularly releases updates to Grid Assessor and other Kevala products. This position will build on existing Kevala projects for the automotive and electric utility industries that are accelerating the decarbonization of the global economy and be primarily focused on modeling aspects of the power grid, from energy consumption, distribution, and production to electric vehicle charge optimization.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A Bachelor’s of Science degree in data science or a minimum of four years equivalentjob experience in a data science-related field.
  • Preferred working knowledge of Geospatial and Time Series databases
  • Experience using or willingness to learn Python Data Stack (Pandas, Numpy, SciPy), PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and Tensorflow.
